Sinclair buys two Tallahassee stations
Sinclair Broadcast Group has bought two TV stations in Tallahassee: Fox affiliate WTLH (FOX 49) and CW affiliate WTLF (CW 24).
But, this move comes with a catch. In order to satisfy the current FCC ownership rules, Sinclair must sell these stations to two separate groups. The complete press release is here.

Where Are They Now? Melanie Kendall leaves WFXL, now in Lexington, and other FOX 31 alumni (alumnae)
It's been a while since the last post...one month to be exact...
Anyway, we at SGE TV are starting what will hopefully become a regular feature: "Where Are They Now?" "WATN?", as the name implies, will feature former TV news personalities in the Albany, Columbus, Macon, and Tallahassee/Thomasville/Valdosta markets.
So, what are we waiting for? Let's get started.
Former WFXL Albany (FOX 31) "Good Day" host Melanie Kendall has resurfaced in Lexington, Kentucky. She's now a reporter at ABC affiliate WTVQ (ABC 36).
Another WFXL alumna, Ashley Knight, is currently in Mobile, Alabama, as a reporter at CBS affiliate WKRG. She's been at the station since November 2012.
Just up the road in Memphis, Sarah Bleau is still going strong at the Fox-owned WHBQ (FOX 13). She joined that station in April 2012.
Finally, former WFXL sports director Andrew Schnitker chose to stay in Georgia, sort of. He's now holding down similar duties at yet another CBS affiliate, WRDW in Augusta. The Texas native joined WRDW after spending two years at FOX 31.
